We have an awesome Le Creuset-themed pre-Christmas giveaway to kick off the winter baking season! The super folks at CSN Stores are sponsoring this fun giveaway (they sell everything from the perfect barstool to beautiful bakeware) and we got to choose some stellar goodies for you. :)
Since we have a crush on Le Creuset (after housesitting a home full of Le Creuset pots and pans this summer, we're converts) we picked a sweet array of beautiful, practical, high quality (and sexy!) goodies any baker will love.
And if you already have what you need and don't need any new stuff, enter anyways and gift these fantastic goodies out to the ones you love.
The giveaway is now closed. Thanks to everyone who entered!
To enter the giveaway, just leave a comment telling us what your favorite thing to bake in the winter is.
We'll keep the comments open until Monday November 22nd, 9 PM EST, and email the winner (chosen randomly) on Tuesday November 23rd. The winner will have until 9PM EST on Wednesday November 24th to get back to us to claim their prize. If we have not heard from you by that time, another winner will be chosen at random.
This giveaway is open to USA and Canadian residents. :)

An amazing pecan pie that, as a pecan pie lover, is infinitely better than any pecan pie I have tasted before. No gelatin-like stiff middle and tons of chopped pecans throughout the pie - it's pecan pie perfection!
I love it when people share their absolute favorite recipes with the world. This is touted as "The Best Cranberry Bread Ever" and it's made with fresh fall cranberries, yum... I dare you to bake some for yourself just to see if it's true - I have a feeling you'll get something really delicious out of the deal. :)
The toasted coconut in these cookies adds a "slightly nutty flavor" and the dark chocolate chunks deliver all the gooey sweetness you would expect. They're "thick and chewy" and are officially on Maria's list of favorite cookies. I can see why!
I've always had a thing for bran muffins. Humble as they are, they're super-satisfying, healthy, and often studded with the yummiest ingredients. Now check THESE out: "Low fat bran muffins infused with coffee. Make them any way you like: with raisins, cherries, or even chocolate....because what doesn't go with chocolate?" Point made. :)
I have the sweetest memories of making such houses when I was a kid, so it's a treat to see it's still possible for us vegans to make something super cute like that, and to get to destroy it in order to eventually eat it. Gotta love the "Guess Who" loveheart Naomi placed on the door, too!
I love red velvet cake, but sometimes it's just too much effort to bake a cake, wait for it to cool, make the icing, frost the cake...you get the idea. Sometimes you want instant gratification. And these come pretty darn close.
Joelen makes a simple red velvet brownie batter and then swirls a cream cheese layer through before baking. A quick 30 minutes later these yummy beauties emerge. Voila! Everything you love about red velvet in cake in half the time!
Shanon warms up her weekend with this classic yeast-risen cake:
"I couldn't wait to post it. Especially on a Sunday morning. What a perfect day for a coffeecake... So, as I write this, I just want to let you know that I ate half of the coffeecake today. Half of it. It's that good……"
