I fell in love with these striking cupcakes as soon as I saw them. And as cool as the name "red velvet" is for a cake, "black velvet", I dare say, is sexier. Now the other remarkable thing about these gorgeous Halloween cupcakes is the fantastic tree on top. The best part about these trees (besides being delicious and chocolate!) is they're surprisingly easy to make and require no special tools.
