Doughnut Muffins

In Austin, these are affectionately called "Golden Eggs," but the blogging world knows them better as Doughnut Muffins. They live up to their name by delivering the cakey, sweet goodness you expect from a doughnut but without being fried! 

And, I couldn't stop at just one topping... The classic cinnamon sugar is delicious and perfect for fall, but the glazed ones with sprinkles are absolutely adorable - "doughnut cupcakes" if you will.
