Snickerdoodle Cinnamon Cupcakes

Snickerdoodle Cinnamon Cupcakes

These cupcakes remind me of the holidays - Snickerdoodles always grace the cookie tins around our house! The simple cinnamon sugar combination is a family fave, and these cupcakes are a fun way to prepare for all of the holiday cookie madness...without getting into it just yet.

Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

Look once and you might notice "the way deep chocolaty undertones peek out from under dazzling white mounds of confectioner's sugar, a sugary spider web if looked at from afar."

But, you'll have to make these to really appreciate "how the sugar falls off in clumps before melting on your tongue." Or, how these are the "perfect texture - moist, chewy, and dense enough to provide your teeth with ample resistance before gliding into a void of chocolaty euphoria."

Enough said. These cookies and I just became BFF.

Dulce de Leche Cheesecake

Dulce de Leche Cheesecake

Dulce de leche, otherwise known as milk caramel, is the star of this delicious, Spanish-inspired dessert. Jess adds dulce de leche to a classic cheesecake batter, makes a crushed Oreo cookie crust and then drizzles more dulce de leche on top.

The caramel and cream cheese combine beautifully to deliver a cheesecake that is "creamy and smooth." Jess, I can see why your coworkers wanted to lick the plate...I would, too!

Cream Biscuits with Cheddar and Herbs

Cream Biscuits with Cheddar and Herbs

I was hooked before I even read the recipe. I mean really...what is not to love about these savory biscuits made with with heavy cream, cheddar cheese and fresh thyme?!

"These biscuits are amazing, especially right out of the oven. The texture is soft and slightly chewy, and that outer golden crust seals the deal with a slight amount of crispiness. The cheese? Oh, man. I wish you could have smelled the kitchen while these were baking..." My thoughts exactly.

Swedish Apple Pie

Swedish Apple Pie

This freeform pie is a "festive blend of apples, butter and cinnamon baked to a crisp golden brown and topped with a pie crust like no other." In fact, the crust is probably my favorite part of this pie: butter, flour, sugar and walnuts combine for a sweet, crunchy drop topping. Yum!

Pumpkin Cranberry Walnut Bread

Pumpkin Cranberry Walnut Bread

I adore traditional pumpkin bread for so many reasons: it's rich, it's dense, and it practically screams "fall is here!" That said, I also love to mix it up a little bit, and Shanon's seasonal additions are perfect: "cranberries (sweet and tart) and walnuts (toothsome and good for you)."

Plus, she sprinkled extra sugar over the top of the loaf before baking which resulted in a "crunchy, almost caramelized topping." Why didn't I think of that?!

Caramel Pear & Ginger Cupcakes

Caramel Pear & Ginger Cupcakes

These little cakes are packed full of fall flavor. Joelen started with her favorite spice cake recipe, added pears and ginger to the batter, and then frosted them with a simple vanilla bean buttercream and a caramel drizzle.

Like Joelen, "I really like the delicate sweetness of pears and how they balance the spiciness of ginger in baked goods." Sugar and spice... timeless.

Coffee-Caramel Crème Brûlée

Coffee-Caramel Crème Brûlée

I'm one of "those people." You know the ones. The ones that hold up the line in the coffee shop because their drinks resemble something closer to a gourmet milkshake than a cup of coffee. Yep, that's me.

The truth is, I don't really drink coffee unless it's all dolled up. And caramel is my favorite add-in. I do, however, adore crème brûlée, and I'm speaking from experience when I say that Kocinera's coffee-caramel combination is a winner. Two smooth flavors. One bold, one sweet. It's crème brûlée, all dressed up for the season!

Pumpkin Muffins

Pumpkin Muffins

The name of this blog really resonates with me. My brother, sister and I used to be super picky eaters, and my mom had to get creative to get us to eat anything.

Baking pumpkin bread into muffins is genius! Muffins aren't intimidating. They're friendly and recognizable: a perfect way to get picky eaters to fall in love with this fall favorite.

Meringue Cake with Whipped Cream and White Wine Filling

Meringue Cake with Whipped Cream and White Wine Filling

When Patty sent me this recipe she said, "I think you'll love this one." Ummm, yes. Love doesn't even begin to describe how I feel about this cake. I have forever wanted to try a white wine-infused cake filling, and Tania's is going to be the one!

This cake is topped with meringue and flaked almonds and filled with a "fresh, smooth, velvety" whipped cream that, thanks to the combination of white wine and lemon, has a "lively and bubbly taste."
