Caramel apples are one of my absolute favorite things about fall. In fact, I love them so much that they're going to make an appearance at my wedding next fall.

Kocinera doesn't make any old caramel apples, though. She bakes them into a tart. "Because everyone knows that nothing goes better with ooey, gooey caramel sauce and melt-in-your-mouth apple slices like buttery, flaky pastry." So true.

I'll just say this: If I could make one of these for each of my guests to take home, I would.

For round 2 of the Project Food Blog competition, Natalie was challenged to create a classic dish from a foreign cuisine. She let Morocco inspire her, and then she seriously outdid herself with these three incredible Moroccan desserts: Pears and Figs in Honey Syrup, Sfenj (doughnut lovers, this is for you), and a Moroccan Serpent Cake (M'Hanncha), made with filo pastry, almonds and rose water.

I love that Natalie describes macarons as "fancy cookies." They are kind of like a dressed-up, adult version of those ridiculous double-doozie cookies you can get at the mall. (Not that I ever do that.)

Her macaron shells are "flavored with cinnamon" and filled with a "sweet chocolate buttercream." They're perfectly suited for any "serious cookie" connoisseur.

I have fond memories of picking apples at the orchard by our house, every fall, in Boston. (And then enjoying fresh cinnamon sugar doughnuts and hot apple cider in the barn!) The point is, whenever I see a seasonal apple recipe it takes me right back.

Rachel picked her apples locally, and then mixed up a cinnamon, whole grain and bran batter. These muffins not only combine delicious fall flavors, but they're also healthy. One bite of these, and I'll think you'll be right there with her - watching the leaves change, feeling the crisp fall air...

Apple Brown-butter Cinnamon muffins, the perfect fall breakfast treat. Evan says, "...I think I'm in love... the nutty aroma and flavor lend a wonderful addition to these muffins... not to mention, the smell of baking apples and cinnamon is a fantastic way to start your morning. Did I mention that these are a little on the healthy side as well? Whole wheat flour and agave nectar round off these yummy little muffins."

I'm a sucker for all bread - it's something I couldn't live without, and when fall rolls around pumpkin bread and cinnamon bread are always on the agenda. But, I've never thought to combine the two into one.

Enter Lisa, who scoured the web looking for a pumpkin cinnamon bread. When she wasn't able to find one, she improvised, and came up with this delicious, homemade yeast bread. She thinks it would make divine french toast, but "it's amazing enough just toasted with butter."
