Caramel Apple Cupcakes

Caramel Apple Cupcakes

There's something wonderful about caramel apples. It's not just the combination of sweet juicy apple and gooey, sticky caramel. There's something about the format - the handle - that elevates it to a special place in the hearts of children and adults alike. Amanda bakes up the perfect tribute to the classic treat with these sweet apple cider cupcakes topped with rich thick caramel sauce - right down to including the handle. :)

Gingerbread Skeletons and Mummies

Gingerbread Skeletons and Mummies

I love Halloween. Getting to dress up in costume is always a lot of fun, as is walking around the neighborhood looking at all the spooky haunted houses. Local businesses all get into the spirit as well, and for about 2-3 weeks everything is Halloween-inspired. Which brings me to these delightful gingerbread cookies, which are just the thing to put a ghoulish smile on anyone's face. I would definitely bite the heads off first. ;)

Monkey Muffins

Monkey Muffins

How cute and fun are these?! Super-sweet baker-babe and awesome mom Brooke reveals their appeal: "Of course, they aren't really muffins at all. They are actually kinda healthy-ish cupcakes that hide a bundle of ripe bananas, whole wheat flour, and a handful of chocolate chips inside. Perfect for afterschool snacks, lunchtime snacks, or anytime you feel like snacking on something deliciously fun, moist, and full of incredible banana and chocolate flavor."
